About Me

Bahama MamaAt heart, I’m a Louisiana girl transplanted to Washington, DC trying to work it all out!  I spent most of the past 20 years in corporate settings — from Procter and Gamble to Fannie Mae to a company or two that I founded.  In between, I got married and I’m now raising three amazing children.

As a mom, I’ve tried all options in search of the ever-illusive “balance” — staying home with the kids, kids in daycare, an array of nannies.   At different times, I’ve served as both primary caregiver and primary breadwinner.  I must say, it’s a matter of picking your pain!  I’m now drawing on my experiences to raise our consciousness on a range of topics — some socially relevant, some life challenges and some simply humorous.

This blog is written for Modern Age Mom’s everywhere, as well as for all the people — men and women — who support and/or rely on them.

Visit often, comment if you feel inspired, and enjoy!
